Use mild shampoo
A harsh shampoo can strip the color off of your hair. That said, we recommend that you switch to shampoos that are specifically designed for color-treated hair. These shampoos will cleanse your hair without stripping out the color. Also, limit washing to 2 to 3 times a week to keep your hair color looking vibrant.
Condition, condition, condition
Coloring your hair can cause it to become dry. No one wants dry and lifeless locks. As such, you need to put moisture back into your hair. Make sure that you condition your hair every time you wash it. This will leave your hair softer and more manageable. Plus, it creates a protective barrier, which prevents your dye from washing out quickly.
Avoid overexposure to the sun
Constant exposure to the sun can cause your hair color to fade. Use UV protection on your hair before going outdoors to prevent color fade. Also, wear a hat to protect your hair as well your face from the sun’s harmful rays.
